Definition

  • Indicates that the oxygen given is used for preoxygenation. The oxygen for preoxygenation is 100% and high flow. In some life-threatening circumstances, 100% oxygen high flow may be used to prepare the patient for intubation or because the patient's condition is life-threatening.
