Everyday Cognition - Study Partner Report Form [ECog.Partner]

Definition

  • The Everyday Cognition Scale (ECog) is a 39 item questionnaire used to measure a patient's cognitive function and aid in the detection and diagnosis of dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases that are associated with aging. The final score is an average of the individual scores for each item answered out of the 39 items in the questionnaire and ranges from 1 to 4. If an item is not answered or "I don't know" is given as the answer, a value of null is assigned for the purpose of calculating the final score. There are two versions of the ECog: one that the patient completes [LOINC:89133-3] and one that the patient's partner completes [this panel].
