Definition

  • The Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance status is a tool used to measure a patient's level of daily functioning and physical ability. The ECOG score ranges from 0 to 5. Lower scores are associated with better functional status, with 0 representing no symptoms or evidence of disease, and 5 representing death.
