Definition
- Overall interpretation for Zika virus IgM antibody testing based on an algorithm that considers individual quantitative results for IgG and IgM antibodies to Zika virus antigens. This term was created for, but not limited in use to, the submitter's test kit, Diasorin LIAISON(R) XL Zika Capture IgM. In this assay, the result of the Zika virus IgG antibodies is only used to aid in the interpretation of the IgM result and should not be used individually to determine the patient's Zika IgG status.
