Physical findings of Mandible condyle

Definition

  • Abnormal temporomandibular joint structures, especially the mandibular condyles, affect oral function, the plane of dental occlusion and overall facial bone relationships. Aplasia, bifidity and trifidity are different anomalies affecting mandibular condyle. Bifidity and trifidity are characterized by duplicity of the mandibular condyle and are uncommon conditions.[PMID: 12582368]
