Clot strength [Length fraction] in Blood by Thromboelastography.platelet adenosine diphosphate receptor inhibited
Clot strength LenFr Bld TEG. ADP recep inh
Definition
- Calculation of percentage of clot strength that is lost due to inhibition of adenosine diphosphate (ADP)-induced platelet aggregation. This is calculated based on measurements of the patient's maximum clot strength and clot strength due to ADP-induced platelet aggregation, via methods such as thrombelastography or resonance thromboelastography. It is used to guide anti-platelet therapy decisions.
