Definition

  • Tests for particular diseases, such as Zika, Ebola, Chikungunya, should only be performed on individuals meeting geographic (resident or traveled to) criteria. This term is specific to whether or not the patient is/was a resident of a region that is endemic for diseases of interest, such as: Zika, Ebola, Chikungunya, Malaria, etc.)
