Chromosome 2 copy number/nucleus in Tissue by FISH
Chr 2 copy num/nucleus EntNum Tiss FISH
Definition
- Aneusomy (varying number) of chromosome 2 is evaluated by using a DNA probe that marks the centromeric region of chromosome 2. Such a probe is also called CEP2. The ratio of the number of signals of the MYCN gene, also on chromosome 2, to the chromosome 2 signal [LOINC: 93797-9] can indicate whether or not there is amplification of the MYCN gene.
