Definition

  • The ratio of chromosome 1p arm deletions to chromosome 1q arm deletions. Results are used to diagnose oligodendroglioma brain tumors and to determine best treatment options. Tumors with 1p/1q ratio <0.80 and ≥24% deleted cells are deemed deleted for 1p.
