Definition

  • The ratio of chromosome 19q arm deletions to chromosome 19p arm deletions. Results are used to diagnose oligodendroglioma brain tumors and to determine best treatment options. Tumors with 19q/19p ratio <0.80 and ≥26% deleted cells are deemed deleted for 19q.
