Ceramide risk score in Plasma by calculation

Ceramide risk score Plas Calc

Definition

  • The ceramide risk score is calculated based on the results for all measured ceramides. A higher score is correlated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease, and in one study, a score of greater than or equal to 10 was associated with more than twice the mortality risk at 18 years compared to scores less than or equal to two.
