Collagen type VII IgG Ab [Presence] in Serum or Plasma by Immunoassay
CollagenVII IgG SerPl Ql IA
Definition
- Detection of IgG antibodies against Collagen type VII in serum or plasma to assist in the diagnosis of epidermolysis bullosa acquisita (EBA). The term was created for, but not limited in use to, the submitter's test kit, Euroimmun Anti-Collagen type VII ELISA (IgG), which calculates the ratio of the extinction value of the control or patient sample over the extinction value of the calibrator. A negative serological result does not exclude the presence of disease.
