Definition

  • Detection of IgG antibodies against cytosolic 5'-nucleotidase 1A (cN-1A; synonyms: Mup44, NT5C1A) in serum or plasma for the diagnosis of inclusion body myositis (IBM). The term was created for, but not limited in use to, the submitter's test kit, EUROIMMUN's Anti-cN-1A ELISA (IgG). A negative serological result does not exclude the presence of disease.
