Definition
- Detection of IgG antibodies against DFS70 (dense fine speckled 70 antigen) in serum or plasma to assist in the diagnosis of autoimmune diseases. The term was created for, but not limited in use to, the submitter's test kit, Euroimmun Anti-DFS70 ELISA (IgG), which calculates the ratio of the extinction value of the control or patient sample over the extinction value of the calibrator. A ratio of greater than or equal to 1.0 is considered positive. A negative serological result does not exclude the presence of disease.
