Definition
- Detection of IgG antibodies against Hantavirus seoul (SEOV) serotype in serum or plasma by line blot method for the diagnosis of hantavirus infections. The term was created for, but not limited in use to, the submitter's test kit, Euroimmun's EUROLINE Hantavirus Profile Global, an immunoblot (line blot) which differentiates between different hantavirus serotypes, including Puumala (PUUV), Dobrava (DOBV), Hantaan (HTNV), Seoul (SEOV), Sin Nombre (SNV) and Andes (ANDV).
