Definition

  • Detection of IgA antibodies against Epstein-Barr virus early diffuse antigen in serum or plasma by an immunoassay method to assist in the diagnosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The term was created for, but not limited in use to, the submitter's test kit, Euroimmun Epstein-Barr virus early antigen diffuse (IgA) ELISA assay, which calculates the ratio of the extinction value of the control or patient sample over the extinction value of the calibrator.
