Clot strength [Length fraction] in Blood by Thromboelastography.arachidonate induced

Clot strength LenFr Bld TEG.arachidonate induced

Definition

  • Calculation of percentage of clot strength due to arachidonic acid (AA)-induced platelet aggregation. This is calculated based on measurements of the patient's maximum clot strength and clot strength due to AA-induced platelet aggregation, via methods such as thromboelastography or resonance thromboelastography. This is the residual portion of the clot strength which is not inhibited, in response to arachidonate-induced activation of platelets. Used to guide anti-platelet therapy decisions.
