Definition

  • This panel contains results for the detection and identification of autoantibodies in spinal fluid (CSF) associated with encephalopathy. Testing may be performed to evaluate patients with a new onset of encephalopathy (noninfectious or metabolic) or limbic encephalitis (noninfectious). A patient's autoantibody profile may also be informative for determining a specific cancer type associated with encephalopathy.
