Definition

  • The glass bead induced clot formation by microviscometry panel is intended for general purpose global hemostasis monitoring. The monitoring information is typically used for screening for coagulopathies, and hyperfibrinolysis screening. This LOINC should be used for assay that include heparin capable of neutralizing therapeutic heparin at some level. This panel is not intended for high dose heparin management during cardiopulmonary bypass surgery.
