Social determinants of health panel [R-Outcomes]

Definition

  • The social determinants of health panel captures patients' perspectives on education, status or self-esteem, housing, and poverty. Each level is indicated using a traffic-light metaphor with written labels, color, position, and images. Each response level is recorded on a 0-3 ordinal scale, with strongly agree = 3, agree = 2, neutral = 1, and disagree = 0. The total score is on a scale of 0 to 12 and is calculated by adding together the individual scores for all social determinants panel items. [PMID: 32198234]
