Definition

  • The code (e.g. MVX code) assigned to a vaccine manufacturer. When MVX code is paired with a vaccine administered code (e.g. CVX code), the specific trade named vaccine may be indicated. MVX and CVX codes are maintained by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Immunization Information System Support Branch (IISSB) for use in HL7 data transmission.
