Definition
- OST is a is a simple questionnaire to identify osteoporosis risk and facilitate bone mineral density (BMD) testing. OST is based on two variables: weight and age. The score is calculated by (Weight (kg) - Age (years)) x 0.2. Scores of less than 2 indicate increased risk and highlight the need for bone densitometry. [PMID: 29946735]
